“We were kinda dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” he admitted. “That’s what it seemed like in the moment. It seemed close there. So it was difficult.”
Despite the challenges, Jase says the family is doing everything they can to make Phil and Kay comfortable.
“We’re making them comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. So I think that’s just what you do,” he said.

“We know God carried our dad home,” he added. “Now we’re praying He gives Mom the strength to keep going, to heal — even if the road is long and painful.”
